Symptoms of Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD)
Symptoms may happen in the head or neck.

People with TMD may have:
- Pain in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ)
- Problems opening the mouth fully
- A feeling of the jaw “catching” or “locking”, when opening or closing the mouth, or while chewing
- Popping, clicking, or grating sounds or feelings while eating and drinking
- Pain in the jaw
- Facial pain
- Muscle pain/spasm in the temple or TMJ
- Headache
- Ear pain
- Neck pain
- Swelling on 1 or both sides of the face
- Ringing in the ears
