Screening for Infertility in Women
by Alayne Ronnenberg, ScD
The purpose of screening is early diagnosis and treatment. Screening tests are usually given to people without current symptoms, but who may be at high risk for certain diseases or conditions.
There are no current guidelines for screening or screening tests for infertility in women.
If you have a history of, or at risk for, pelvic inflammatory disease, pelvic abscess, ruptured appendix, or known prior adhesions, talk to your doctor.
