Ticlopidine

Trade Names:

Ticlid

Ticlopidine is a drug that makes the blood clot less easily.  It is used to reduce the risk of strokes, heart attacks, and other conditions caused by blood clots.

Numerous herbs and natural supplements might interfere with the ability of the blood to clot as well. If they are taken with clopidogrel, excess bleeding might occur. For a discussion of all these natural products, see the Warfarin article.
