Nutritional support refers to taking many vitamins and supplements. It has been used to promote healing and strength in the body. It has been used after surgery or illness. There are many supplements and combinations that are used for nutritional support. Nutritional support can be taken by mouth or injected into the bloodstream or digestive system by a healthcare provider.

It is likely safe to use nutritional support for a short period. Not enough studies have been done to say whether it is safe to use for a long period.
