Nosode

In the early 1800s, Dr. Constantine Hering first used diseased animal tissue to make homeopathic remedies. He called them “nosodes” to distinguish them from traditional remedies made from herbs or minerals. Dr. Hering and his colleagues created a nosode remedy with infected sheep’s spleen. They used this homeopathic preparation to treat anthrax.
