Risk Factors for Narcolepsy

A risk factor makes the chances of getting narcolepsy higher. You can have it with or without any of those listed below. But, the more risks you have, the higher your chances.

It’s most common in people aged 10-20 years old. It’s also more likely in people with:

  • Certain genes
  • Family members with the same problems
  • A history of certain strep infections
