Other Treatments for Rheumatoid Arthritis

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) problems vary from person to person. Other treatments that may help manage symptoms are:

  • Heat packs to promote blood flow to a joint
  • Cold packs to ease swelling
  • Physical therapy to improve muscle strength and range of motion
  • Occupational therapy to learn new ways to do everyday tasks, such as buttoning or zipping clothes
