Lifestyle Changes to Manage Menopause

Lifestyle changes can help a woman manage menopause symptoms. These include eating a healthful diet and exercising regularly.

Hot flashes and night sweats can be managed by:

  • Sleeping in a cool room
  • Dressing in layers
  • Having a cool drink at the beginning of a hot flash

Problems sleeping can be managed by:

  • Keeping a regular bedtime schedule and not taking naps during the day
  • Avoiding too much caffeine
