Pamela Jones, MA

Pamela Jones is Associate Managing Editor for EBSCO Information Services' Consumer Health products. Pamela has a master’s degree in health communication from Emerson College and Tufts University School of Medicine (a collaborative program), and a bachelor’s degree in cardiopulmonary sciences with a concentration in clinical exercise physiology from Northeastern University.

Prior to joining EBSCO Information Services, Pamela worked as a fitness manager for a leading health and fitness center. She provided health and wellness education for staff and members, as well as programming for populations with special health needs. She also assisted in the management of a non-profit wellness center for women in transition. Her previous experience included work in cardiac rehabilitation, diabetes management with Joslin Diabetes Center, physical rehabilitation, and hospital surgical services.

Cynthia M. Johnson, MA

Cynthia Johnson is Senior Health Editor for EBSCO Information Services' Consumer Health products. She has a master’s degree in English with a concentration in creative writing from Salem State University. Cynthia also has a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in secondary education from Salem State University. She is currently pursuing a Health Equity graduate certificate from Saint Michael's College.

Prior to joining EBSCO Information Services, Cynthia worked as a freelance writer focusing on health information technology. She also has experience designing, developing, and implementing customized training solutions for a variety of industries.

Amy Scholten, MPH

Amy Scholten, MPH. is Editor/Writer for EBSCO Information Services’ Consumer Health products. Amy has a master’s degree in public health with a concentration in health promotion and education from the University of South Carolina. She also has a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition from Framingham State University.

Prior to joining EBSCO Information Services, Amy worked as a freelance consumer health writer/editor and health and nutrition educator for community and hospital-based wellness programs.

  Maria Adams, MS, MPH, RD is a former editor of EBSCO Information Services' Health Library. She is also a registered dietitian with a master's degree in nutrition communication from the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University, and a master of public health degree from the Tufts University School of Medicine. She has written articles for a variety of health-related publications and has also worked as a clinical dietitian.

  Ted Avery is director of sales and marketing for the consulting firm The Training Doctor, and a former producer at ESPN.
  Michelle Badash, MS holds a master's degree in health communication from Tufts University School of Medicine and has over 15 years of health and medical writing experience.  She has published over 100 articles specializing in consumer health and international health issues, and has won a writing award from the American Medical Writers Association.

  Jeanine Barone, MS is a nutritionist and exercise physiologist who has written several books and articles on travel, fitness, food, and health. Her articles have appeared in Food & Wine, Self, Cooking Light, Better Homes and Gardens, and Outside, among others. She has been an editor of the University of California Berkeley Wellness Letter for 11 years and has appeared on national television as an expert on food and fitness.
  Amanda Barrett, MA is a former editor of EBSCO Information Services' Health Library. She has a master’s degree in health communication from Emerson College and Tufts University School of Medicine (a collaborative program), and a bachelor’s degree in English from Boston University. She has worked with the Latin American Health Institute, the Health Institute at Tufts-New England Medical Center, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, and Boston University Medical Center.
  Monica Bearden, RD is a registered dietitian who has written articles for the Journal of the American Dietetic Association, the American Journal of Medicine and Sports, the American Chemical Society, Today’s Dietitian, and the ADA Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutrition Newsletter. Monica co-owns NutCom, a nutrition communications consulting company.
 Kara Becker, MS, RD, LDN, CNSC is an associate editor for EBSCO Information Services’ DynaMed. She is a registered dietitian with a master’s degree in nutrition from the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University. She is board-certified in nutrition support and has worked as a clinical dietitian at Massachusetts General Hospital and Cambridge Hospital.
  Howard Bell is a medical writer living in Onalaska, Wisconsin. His articles have appeared in the Mayo Health Letter, Mayo Health Oasis website, and numerous national magazines and journals for consumers and physicians. He is the recipient of a bronze award from the National Mature Media Awards.
