Garlic clove, minced1
Sesame oil1 teaspoon
Ground ginger¼ teaspoon
Sesame seeds1 teaspoon
Freshly ground pepper to taste
Top sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes½ pound
Large scallions, dark green ends trimmed off and firm portion cut into 2-inch pieces4
Metal skewers, or wooden ones soaked in water for at least 20 minutes4

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, garlic, oil, ginger, sesame seeds, and pepper. Combine marinade, steak, and scallions in a large plastic resealable bag, toss to coat, and marinate in the refrigerator 30 minutes to overnight.
  3. Remove steak and scallion pieces, and thread onto skewers.
  4. Prepare indoor or outdoor grill. Grill kebabs, turning occasionally, for about 10 minutes, or until steak reaches desired degree of doneness.

Fill a medium saucepan with 1 inch of water. Bring water to a boil, add snow peas, cover tightly, and steam for about 3 minutes, or until peas reach desired degree of tenderness. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve.
