Ingredients and Preparation    TOP

Split peas1½ cups
Water6 cups
Medium onion, diced1
Medium potatoes, peeled and diced2
Garlic powder¼ teaspoon
Parsley, dried¼ teaspoon
Medium carrots, grated2
  1. Directions
  2. In a large pot, combine split peas and water, and bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat. Cover and let simmer until tender (1 hour).
  4. Add onion, potato, garlic powder, dried parsley, and carrots.
  5. Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
  6. Transfer soup mixture in batches to a blender, and puree until smooth.
  7. Return to heat and warm through. Serve.
