Hacer cambios en el estilo de vida incluso modestos puede tener un impacto considerable. Para personas que tienen sobrepeso o que tienen diabetes, incrementar moderadamente la actividad física, perder el 10% de su peso o más, y cambiar sus hábitos alimenticios tendrá un impacto considerable.
Es importante que usted mismo se fije objetivos modestos y alcanzables. Comience por hacer pequeños cambios (p.e., objetivos modestos de pérdida de peso, pequeños cambios en hábitos alimenticios) en lugar de tratar de cambiar todo a la vez.
