Vanadium is a mineral that is found in humans and animals. It has been used to help control blood glucose and blood pressure. Vanadium can be taken as a pill
There are no advised doses for vanadium.
Editorial process and description of evidence categories can be found at EBSCO NAT Editorial Process.
It is likely safe to take vanadium in small doses for a short time, but high doses can upset digestion or cause liver damage. Not enough studies have been done to say whether it is safe to use for a long period. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should limit their intake of vanadium.B1
