Treatments for Celiac Disease

Rick Alan There is no cure for celiac disease. The only effective treatment is to control symptoms and prevent complications by eating a gluten-free diet. Medication is used to help control intestinal inflammation in severe cases. If you develop nutritional deficiencies or lose bone mass, other treatment may be necessary. Treatment involves the following: At this time, there are no surgical treatments for celiac disease.
