Treating narcolepsy depends on the problems you have. The goals are to:

  • Ease daytime sleepiness and keep you alert
  • Lessen troublesome symptoms such as:
    • Weakness
    • Hallucinations
    • Sleep paralysis

There are no surgical procedures to treat narcolepsy.
