The American Association of Kidney Patients is a national association. Its goal is to help people with kidney disease and their families deal with the physical, emotional, and social effects of the disease. The goal of the National Kidney Disease Education Program, which was founded by the National Institutes of Health, is to reduce death and disability caused by kidney diseases. This site provides information on how to speak with your family about kidney disease and on how to prevent kidney disease. It also offers videos, brochures, and fact sheets, which can be downloaded from the site.
